 Survivors OF POLICE VIOLENCE Fund

At In Our Names Network, we stand in solidarity with survivors of systemic police violence, offering support, resources, and a pathway to healing. Our Survivors of Police Violence Fund acts as a direct aid and mini-grant program for individuals targeted by racialized and gendered police violence and criminalization. It directly supports survivors of physical, sexual, economic, and fatal violence by police, as well as people subject to family policing and separation by providing them tangible resources to heal and reroot their lives in safety.

About the Fund:

The Survivors of Police Violence Fund is an initiative designed to uplift and support Black women, girls, queer and trans survivors of systemic police violence. Our goal is to provide survivors with the financial resources they need to access essential services, therapy, legal support, and other forms of assistance relevant to their healing process.

How It Works:

  • Application Process: Black women, girls, queer or trans survivors are encouraged to apply for assistance by contacting rapidresponse@inournamesnetwork.com. A team of reviewers that includes survivors carefully reviews each application, prioritizing those in urgent need and those who face financial barriers to accessing support.

  • Financial Assistance: The Survivors of Police Violence Fund provides financial mini-re-grants to Black women, girls, queer and trans survivors of police violence, offering support for various needs such as therapy sessions, legal fees, medical expenses, housing assistance, transportation, and other essential services.

  • Community Support: In addition to financial assistance, survivors receive support from our network members, including access to support groups, advocacy services, and peer counseling to ensure they feel heard, validated, and supported throughout their healing journey.

How You Can Help:

  • Donate: Your generous contributions to make a tangible difference in the lives of survivors. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us provide crucial support to those in need.

  • Spread the Word: Help us amplify our impact by sharing information about the Survivors of Police Violence Fund with your network. Together, we can raise awareness and mobilize support for Black women, girls, queer and trans survivors.

The Survivors of Police Violence Fund is more than just financial assistance—it's a symbol of solidarity, compassion, and collective healing. Join us in supporting survivors on their journey toward justice, healing, and restoration. Together, we can create a world where all survivors are seen, heard, and supported on their path to healing and justice.
